The resort of Monastir provides the perfect base if you are holidaying or transferring to resorts along the eastern coast of: Sousse, Skanes, or Port El Kantouri all of which are within reach of
Monastir International Airport.

Typical Cost of Living in Tunisia:

Pint of Beer: Approximately £1

Bottle of House Wine: Approximately £8

3 Course Meal: Appoximately £8

Monastir
is known as the holiest place in Tunisia with many ancient monuments, monasteries and museums available. With a modern marina and regenerated Medina’s (shopping complexes) Monastir is for both the culture and shopping enthusiast. Monastir is enriched with long sandy beaches and quality golf courses
complemented by low key entertainment.

Monastir has also hosted famous film sets located on the outskirts of the desert, for both Indiana Jones and Star Wars making this yet another reason to visit.

Sousse
is the third largest city in Tunisia and the most popular resort. Steeped in history and culture, take a walk around the tiny medina’s that truly the capture the culture through the wide selection of arts and crafts on offer whilst you haggle your way to a bargain, or visit the museum where you will see perfectly preserved Roman Mosaics.

Most entertainment is conducted within the hotels; however Sousse offers an abundance of nightlife outside resort so you will never be lost of something to keep you entertained.

Skanes
is the closest resort to Monastir allowing for the shortest transfer from the airport. Skanes has many grand hotels set in acres of gardens, usually encompassing their own stretch of beach with a wide of variety of water sports on offer. Many European  restaurants are located in nearby Monastir where you will find anything from pizza parlours, trendy cafes and snack bars. Local cuisine can be found along some of the narrow streets serving traditional Tunisian spicy food.

Port El Kantaoui located in the Sahel region is the first purpose built resort in Tunisia boasting a modern Marina with over 300 boats, an 18 hole Golf Course, full array of water sports, and long stretch of sandy beach. Along the marina are many cafes, bars and restaurants for those wishing to sample local cuisine and beverage. For the shopping enthusiast Port El Kantouri has an array of quaint shops and boutiques.

All resorts cater well for both couples and families alike and are connected via a tourist train making exploration easy so you never have to stay in one place.
