Leeds Bradford Launches Direct Flights To Islamabad
31 January 2008
Pakistan Airline, Shaheen Air International and Leeds Bradford International Airport (LBIA) officially launched the first direct service to Islamabad, Pakistan during a special evening reception at the world famous Mumtaz Restaurant in Bradford recently.
The event was attended by local community leaders, travel agents, dignitaries and representatives from Shaheen Air and LBIA.
The twice-weekly direct service commences on Thursday 07 February and has already proved extremely popular with the local community. As Islamabad is the capital of Pakistan, located in the Potohar Plateau in the northwest of the country, it is an ideal and historic gateway for passengers from the Yorkshire region to reach the Punjab and the North-West Frontier Province areas of the country.
Sally Ramsey, Marketing & Business Development Manager at LBIA commented, “We have recognised the demand from our multi cultural region for easier links to the Indian Subcontinent and welcome Shaheen Air International as a new business partner serving the people of Yorkshire.” To check availability and fares please visit www.ababeel.co.uk, telephone 0845 500 7575 or contact your local booking agent.
